Role purpose

The Supply Chain Manager defines and implements standards and guidelines & supports the SCM- Procurement & Logistics Manager in the Hungarian facility and across the locations within Schreder Group. The successful candidate will have spent at least 10 years in progressive responsible positions handling procurement for large corporations, preferably in the automotive and electronics industry or similar. As a member of the Procurement & Logistics team he is responsible for safeguarding a market leading SCM performance at competitive costs derived from business requirements. Supply Chain Manager will be based in Belgium, strong in with Hungary and Ukraine, willing to travel & report to Group Supply Chain Director.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible of coordinate, monitor & planning SCM-Proc & Logistics for allocated commodities
  • Acting as SCM- Procurement & Logistics Manager backup either at factory level as Group level
  • Cost optimization & exploitation of SCM synergies at Schréder worldwide + ensuring SCM Compliance
  • Development and implementation of efficient forms of organisation and procedures to continuously detect areas for rationalization and increase profitability
  • Deploy Schréder SCM Strategy in area of responsibility
  • Identify procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage or exploit opportunities through tailored risk/opportunity management
  • Collaborate in management of procurement staff in (and across) sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities
  • Participate of cross-functional teaming across other business functions and initiatives
  • Monitoring internal scorecards used for continuous improvement and KPI’s negotiated with suppliers, ensuring compliance and quality of service
  • Supplier relationship management and supplier performance management including, but not limited to, quality, cost, delivery and contractual performance
  • Planning & control stock materials, avoiding both breakages & over excess material, optimizing its mgt

Profile

  • Education: University degree either in engineering or business administration; or similar
  • 10+ years as Procurement / SCM professional with at least 5+ years in leadership in relevant industries
  • Experience working in an international and complex matrix-organisation
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics, MS Office (Excel) is required
  • English fluency is mandatory
  • Ability to combine hands on operational tasks and the implementation of the group strategy
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and leadership / management skills
  • Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems
  • Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Dynamic and proactive with ability to work in stressful and demanding situations
