The Company

Credendo – Export Credit Agency has been excelling in export credit insurance for almost a century. The company has grown to become a European player which is active nowadays in fourteen European countries under the name of Credendo. 470 enthusiastic professionals, 300 of whom are working in Belgium, assess the risks linked to international trade transactions and elaborate solutions to cover them. In order to reinforce our team in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist IT (m/f).

The Position

Credendo is in the middle of a profound ICT Transformation program to allow the company to manage successfully the challenges of the digital transformation. In this context, your role as Procurement Specialist ICT offers lots of variation and diverse challenges. The role involves managing the relationships with key suppliers, managing contracts and contract obligations and sourcing (procurement) work. As a Procurement Specialist ICT you will be in charge of all ICT-related spend and management of it within the organisation. You will operate within a small team of procurement professionals and directly report to the Head of Procurement and Facility Management.

Your Responsibilities

▪ Your main responsibilities include supplier relationship management in close cooperation with the ICT department, contract (obligations) management and the correct execution of the procurement process, from defining business needs to negotiating, concluding and managing/executing contracts whether or not in the context of public procurement.
▪ You will steer and monitor the procurement processes and help Credendo colleagues to define the best procurement strategy for their needs and to help them create added value for Credendo.
▪ You will act to improve the general quality level of the supply base to “best-in-class” and to increase the number of sourcing solutions at Credendo’s disposal.
▪ Based on the spend analysis of your supplier portfolio you will come up with suggestions for improvement.

Profiel

▪ You hold a master’s degree (economics, IT, etc.) or a bachelor’s degree equalled by experience.
▪ You have 3 to 5 years of experience in either procurement, supplier management or contract management in the ICT field OR in service management with a demonstrated interest in either the procurement, contract or supplier management domain. Knowledge of public procurement legislation is an asset. However, being interested in the matter is essential since Credendo can offer a training program to master the public procurement directives.
▪ You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and you have a very good command of English.
▪ You easily grasp the functioning of new ICT tools.
▪ You have good communication and negotiation skills and you are able to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
▪ You have a flexible mindset, capable of finding solutions adapted to the needs of your client.
▪ You are able to solve problems in an autonomous way.
▪ You value confidentiality and the ethical standards of procurement.
