Role purpose
You are responsible & accountable for all indirect procurement matters with a focus on Capex, site services, contractor services, technical equipment, MRO and spare parts for the sites of Tessenderlo (BE), Beek (NL) and Mazingarbe (FR).You manage a purchase spend of approx. € 110 million.
Key responsibilities
- You take full responsibility over Source to Contract (S2C) and Purchase to Pay (P2P) process for Tessenderlo and Beek sites, together with strategic and tactical buyers
- You make sure these processes are executed in line with Vynova procurement strategy & policy and identify ways for process consolidation and standardization across all three sites
- You support Mazingarbe team in S2C process of their Capex projects and on important procurement matters
- As member of Vynova Group Procurement Team, you act as Category Manager for your dedicated categories and lead further implementation (along with transformation project teams) and improvement of category management across three sites. You act as Category Management Coordinator across all Vynova sites for your dedicated spend categories or suppliers
- You take up the role as BPO (business process owner) for P2P process. You interact with other process owners, IT/SAP functional leads and own team to continue to work on implementation of best practices and use SAP in most optimal way
- You actively contribute to “Indirect Procurement Transformation Project” and oversee and manage sub-projects for your sites. You use this project to develop procurement into valuable business partner for its internal stakeholders, implement pro-active way of working and increase level of cooperation with internal stakeholders
- You manage your team of strategic and tactical buyers, taking into account objectives and business needs defined. You are the main point of contact for your internal stakeholders and ensure sufficient support to them as well as overall visibility of your team and their service to internal stakeholders
- You support internal stakeholders (mainly maintenance, engineering & production but also HR, IT, HSEQ, …) in their budgeting and project planning activities to be able to define procurement plan, strategy, priorities and support to internal stakeholders. You are the first point of contact, together with your team for supplier related matters, vendor rating, complaint management, relationship management
- You achieve cost savings and improvements, in line with defined targets. You contribute to Vynova group projects, initiatives and targets. You provide weekly and monthly reports
- You actively participate in indirect procurement sourcing boards and team meetings as well in site related and Vynova Group meetings to represent procurement for your dedicated sites
- You manage projects through participating in or managing cross-functional teams
- You are responsible for compliance with guidelines and rules regarding SHE and ISO (ISO 500001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, …) commercial compliance, GDPR, etc. You are member of ISO steering group
- You report to Group Procurement Manager
Profile
- You have a Master’s Degree (or equal by experience) in Engineering or Applied Economics
- You have at least eight to ten years’ relevant procurement experience in strong technically oriented manufacturing environment and purchasing context (e.g. chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear, construction automotive industry, etc.)
- You have extensive experience on strategic sourcing level and contract negotiation
- You are a strong negotiator and problem solver
- You have excellent knowledge of contract law
- You have strong people management and influencing skills
- You can facilitate processes and projects with all levels in organization. You have a hands-on mentality and an “end to end” process approach
- You have a pragmatic and result oriented approach
- You are an experienced change manager with strong will to improve
- You are a Dutch native speaker, with excellent knowledge of English and sufficient knowledge of French to hold conversations and negotiations in French
- You have good knowledge of SAP (MM/PM) and MS Office
- Knowledge of the lean six sigma methodology is a big plus
- You are willing to travel to different sites and visit suppliers in accordance with business needs (mainly Europe)
