Role purpose
The Procurement & Demand Manager plays a key role in the centralization of Procurement and the Demand & Supply.
Within the Procurement function he/she will manage the company’s supply of products and services. The Procurement Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.
As Demand Manager he/she manages the organization’s forecast planning function using inventory levels, production speed, and product demand to estimate and allocate output.

Key responsibilities
- Reporting to Head of Supply Chain and Production
- Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies
- Discovering profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships
- Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Develop and maintain Demand & Supply availability plans for all products (SKU’s) built and assembled
- Prioritize and allocate production based on supply chain deficits, product demand and sales forecasts
- Review actual production vs production plan and initiate appropriate, corrective actions
- Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
- Drive SOIP monthly demand review meetings with recommended changes to forecast
- Drive resolution of significant variation between actual order rates and demand plan
- Drive delivery performance by understanding key supply (manufacturing and supplier) issues and drive actions to address each of them
- Drive continuous improvement plans where necessary, liaise with pertinent support organizations; internal and/or external stakeholders to finetune and develop business processes where required, streamline operations and tools
Proactively troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns:
- Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and Supply Chain KPI’s
- Regularly communicate status of shipments/backlog/supply commitments versus business commitments for current month, current quarter and projection for longer term
- Serve as contact person for escalation of demand-supply related issues
Profile
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal & writing NL/FR/EN) with ability to build relationships at all levels
- Ability to work well under pressure in team environment
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Quickly adaptable to changing processes and requirements
- Self-starter with ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with and thorough understanding of key factors that drive business value and impact
- Strong background and knowledge with Procurements of electronics is a high plus
- Strong background and knowledge around key planning and supply chain tools and systems (Forecasting, Demand Management, Planning, inventory management tools, MRP/DRP, etc)
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or units earned as added advantage
- Minimum 3-5 years Managerial experience in a similar role
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems
