Role purpose
The Supply Chain Department mission is to be the trusted partner offering SAFE Supply chain services to their clients. Supply Chain services covering both external and internal (out) sourcing, i.e.:
- External sourcing, meaning they are responsible for all Group non-payroll spend
- Internal (out) sourcing, meaning they are responsible for the relationship between ESA and (I)CSD’s in the frame of the shared services agreement between both
SAFE stands for:
- Secured: they offer processes and services that are in line with regulatory, risk and compliance requirements
- Adaptive: they continuously adapt their processes and services to new changing market, demand and regulatory requirements
- Fit for Purpose: services and processes they offer are fit for purpose (adapted to level of risk/complexity of file)
- Efficient: their processes are efficient
The Supply Chain Department is part of the Finance division.
Key responsibilities
Given the increased regulatory, risk and compliance requirements there is a need to establish a strong governance and quality assurance function within the Supply Chain department. In order to strengthen this team they are looking of a senior member, taking up a leading role with respect to establishing a strong governance & quality assurance framework.
Your will be responsible to:
- Lead development, maintenance and implementation policies, processes and procedures, in line with regulatory, risk and compliance requirements
- Develop, maintain and implement adequate control framework ensuring quality and compliance and enabling at any moment to evidence these
- Analyze adequacy of policies, processes and procedures and where necessary proposes improvements to them
- Create awareness and training on policies, procedures and controls
- Monitor compliance to policies and procedures and provide management with adequate reporting and proposed actions where needed
- Manage relationship with other departments such as risk, legal and compliance, in order to capture new regulatory, legal and compliance requirements impacting supply chain governance & control framework
- Play an active role in risk management of the department, for example: monitoring I-tracks, coordinating Positive Assurance Report and Control self-assessment, …
- Monitor operational performance of the department and provide management with adequate reporting and proposed improvement actions where needed
- Coordinate x-departmental exercises like Supplier Performance Monitoring and Supplier Risk Assessments
