Role purpose

  • The Supply Manager is a regional role responsible for optimizing the regional Sales & Operations Planning (SOP, 6-26 months) for several product lines, produced at multiple manufacturing or tolling sites
  • The Supply Manager leads the monthly Integrated Business Process (IBP) Supply Planning process, including the development of multiple “what if” scenarios to ensure that we have the appropriate infrastructure to adapt to changes in demand timing and volume
  • In addition, the Supply Manager develops supply plans for purchased raw materials and toll agreements. On top, the Supply Manager will also be responsible for setting right inventory targets across entire supply network
  • The Supply Manager is a key role for supporting current and future business opportunities. The Supply Manager works collaboratively with the commercial, manufacturing and logistics teams to optimize supply routes which achieve a balance between supply reliability and low costs, consistent with the business strategy

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP) using OMP, that supports business strategy while respecting all capacity, logistics and sourcing constraints
  • Monitor and optimize supply plans to maximize value through focus on asset optimization, plant balancing, logistics costs, inventory control, and product transition minimization
  • Lead monthly IBP supply meetings for Care Solutions to develop consensus with demand/supply plans
  • Lead and coordinate shutdown preparations
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and provide assessment of supply capability
  • Model “what-if” scenarios and propose optimized solutions based on variable supply/demand conditions, including new product or customer introductions
  • Identify constraints and propose alternatives where demand plans cannot be met
  • Determine if order commitment and/or sales allocation plans are warranted and propose plan modifications to meet goals
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate variances from plan. Manage and resolve variances and exceptions
  • Maintain bulk and packaged finished product, raw material, intermediates and by-products inventory levels within targets
  • Continuously evaluate inventory strategy and adjust as needed, including storage location proposals
  • As required, identify and recommend options for alternate methods of supply (AMS)
  • Interface with Materials Handling, Manufacturing, Logistics, QA, Receiving, Purchasing, and other planning groups regarding long-term raw material procurement issues.
  • Provide forecasts to procurement as dictated by IBP Supply Plan
  • Continuously drive and seek optimization opportunities across the value chain

Profile

  • Master in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, planning or S&OP processes
  • Experienced in Data analysis and market knowledge to make data-driven recommendations to guide decisions
  • Experience with SAP, Operations Research and/or OMP is a plus
  • Fluent in English is a requirement, proficient in Dutch is an asset
