Role purpose
The Supply Chain Project Manager will focus on business projects to support long-term supply chain strategies and business goals. We seek a professional to help set & monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data & coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
The Supply Chain Project Manager will be responsible for implementing best practices within the supply chain, as well as increasing supply chain skills among the SC community. He/she will work closely with Business Unit supply chains & operations. He/she will interact with all business support functions (Engineering, Production Management, Innovation, Finances and Procurement).
Reporting to EVP SC & Procurement – works functionally cross BU’s
Interaction with stakeholders:
Product Management, Innovation, Sales, Operation and plant managers, Engineering, Supply Chain community, Procurement Category Managers & Purchasers, Finances, Logistic and Customer Service
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the Supply chain strategy deployment in all BUs of BekaertDeslee
- Focus on S&OP process implementation, inventory, demand, distribution flow engineering, warehousing customer satisfaction
- Optimize inventory levels through the definition of the BD/BU inventory policy, as well as data analysis
- Animate the Supply Chain community around best SC practices
- Bring Supply Chain expertise to enhance SC skills and maturity in BekaertDeslee
- Lead key supply chain projects at BD Group level
- Follow up on the Monthly performance at BU level & Reduce the total Supply Chain lead time
- Build a worldwide visibility on BU production capacities to facilitate internal toll manufacturing when necessary
- Improve performance & cost to serve
- Engineer & animate our key raw material supply chain strategy
Profile
- Preferably master degree or equivalent through min 3 years of proven, hands-on practical, expert in supply chain project management
- Skilled in Project Management & Up to date with the latest supply chain practices & tools
- Experience in optimizing Raw Material and Finished Goods inventories through both ABC/XYZ analysis & Demand/planning management is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset, skills & good business acumen
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to animate, influence & convince
- Ability to deal with change & resistance
- Ability to work in matrix/decentralized organization
- Languages: English
